The YMCA to partner with TIME magazine to promote active and healthier American lifestyles. Because of our historical leadership in health and wellness Time magazine has agreed to contribute four pages of ad space for a news-like "advertorial" that will appear in the December 6th issue. The YMCA named number 1 on the NonProfit Times list of "top 100" non-profit organizations. For the second year in a row the YMCA will appear in the November issue of the NonProfit Times as the number 1 non-profit organization. The article can be viewed at www.nptimes.com
The YMCA was ranked number 4 on the "Philanthropy 400". Moving up from last year's ranking of number 7, the YMCA will appear in the Chronicle of Philanthropy's October 28th edition. This list is a ranking of not-for-profit organizations based on individual, foundation, and corporate contributions made in 2003.
